The MISSION of the Fort Hancock I.S.D Libraries is to permanently prepare the learning community in a changing global environment. This by providing proper access to resources, advocating an all-inclusive environment, and celebrating diversity. Librarians of Fort Hancock I.S.D will nurture a love of reading and creativity for their learning community and provide them with the skills to find and evaluate information for validity, relevance and currency to become future-ready lifelong learners. 

The goals of Fort Hancock I.S.D libraries are to:

• Inspire a love of reading.

• Stimulate creativity and inventive thinking to evolve learning through innovative projects. 

• Provide access to diverse selections of reading materials in various formats.

• Collaborate with educators to meet a diversity of instructional goals.
