MIGRANT PROGRAM

  •

The purpose of the Migrant Education Program is to design and support programs that help migrant students overcome the challenges of mobility, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, and other difficulties associated with a migratory lifestyle. These efforts are aimed at helping migrant students succeed in school and successfully transition to postsecondary education or employment.

    Identification & Recruitment Process (ID & R)

Our school district recruiters identify and recruit migrant children and young people through an interview process. Recruiters must conduct ID&R beyond the campus and throughout the community.  Here is how we Identify and Recruit in our community.

Priority for Service Action Plan (PFS)
PFS are services given to “migratory children who are failing, or most at risk of failing, to meet the State's challenging State academic content standards and challenging State student academic achievement standards, and whose education has been interrupted during the regular school year.”  Here is our plan for how we serve our PFS students.
